[Akira]

       “We are nearing a trade station. Would you like me to dock there?” Wayfarer asked.
       “Yes, there may be many goods we can use there,” I said.
       “This trade station being here is pretty lucky,” Joseph said.
       “How is that?” TyRant asked.
       “We just might be able to find the materials I need to finish the Dimensional Cannon,” I answered.
       “Try as you may, but you will never stop me,” a very familiar voice said.
       Just then a dimensional portal opened and formed right on the bridge. Out of it came Shaun, all alone, for a change. In his left hand he held a device oddly similar to the D.R.G. except that it had the initials M and C on the side of it, and the infinity symbol circled and crossed out.
       “What do you want now?” I said, irritated.
       “I have already shown your fellow Destined what I’m about to show you three,” Shaun said.
       “Would it be that device in your left hand?” I asked rhetorically.
       Then Shaun quickly shifted the device into his right hand and hid it behind his back.
       “No,” Shaun said, clearly lying.
       “Well, we’ll be leaving then,” TyRant said, and pretended to start leaving.
       “Wait!” Shaun said, pulling out the device from behind his back to show us. “I call this the Monster Creator or M.C. for short.”
       Suddenly Joseph burst out laughing, while I tried to hold in laughing at the name of the device. I noticed the sad look on Shaun’s face and just couldn’t hold the laughter in anymore.
       “I don’t see what is so funny,” TyRant said.
       Then I thought about it, noticing the name wasn’t that funny and stopped laughing. Joseph stopped laughing shortly after I had stopped and we stood there with an awkward silence.
       “Anyway, was there anything else?” I asked Shaun, breaking the silence.
       “No, at least not at the moment,” Shaun said, still a little upset.
       “Well, if you don’t mind we have other things to do,” Joseph said.
       I noticed how harshly Joseph had said that, apparently he still held a grudge against Shaun for betraying him.
       “See you later,” Shaun said, disappearing in a flash of light.
       After Shaun’s disappearance the portal he appeared in closed as if it was never there.
       “Well, let’s dock at that trade station,” I said, turning to face the other two.
       “I already went ahead and docked, while Shaun was here conversing with you,” Wayfarer said.
       “Thank you then,” I said to Wayfarer.
       “Let’s go and look around,” Joseph said.
       I walked through the bridge exit which happened to be in front of me, as TyRant and Joseph followed. I walked all the way out of the Wayfarer, through the space port, and into the trade station. The trade station was composed of several stores along the sides of the circular passageway. The only parts of this trade station that didn’t have any stores were the space port and the elevator, or lift, there were even stores in the power room. The place reminded me somewhat of malls, back on Earth with stores side by side to each other on either side of you as you walked down the passageway, or where the main traffic was. The traders themselves were of many different alien races of which I recognized none of.
       I walked over to a trader who was selling many odd looking devices. The trader itself looked like a giant purple squid standing on its tentacles.
       “Ah, a human, I haven’t seen one here in years,” the giant purple squid alien said.
       For a second I wondered how it could even talk but I let it go. I looked at the different devices until one in particular sparked my interest. It looked a lot like a watch from Earth only slightly different, and was gold, silver, and white colored. The wristband was white, the lining around where the time screen display is was gold, and the rest of the actual watch was silver.
       “Are you interested in this?” the giant purple squid alien asked. “It is called the Infinicomm and it is the only one in existence. I’ll show you what it does.”
       The giant purple squid alien picked up the watch-like device with one tentacle, slid it around another tentacle, and pressed a button with the tip of yet another tentacle.
       “It can map the surrounding area and locate anything within that area. It can tell time anywhere throughout the universe along with the current date. It can show can show on each individual planet, the north, south, east, and west directions, like a compass. It allows you to communicate with someone else from afar and see who it is you’re talking to. It can project holographic images of anyone or anything you want. It can identify anyone or anything. It can access any computer system and program throughout the universe. It can store anything in the form of data and change it back when desired. It can change the appearance of anyone or anything. And it can teleport anything to anywhere that has been previously visited,” the giant purple squid alien said.
       “Wow, if it can do all that, then why are you selling it, if it’s only one of a kind?” TyRant asked.
       “It is very rare, yes, but I need the money,” the giant purple squid alien said.
       I had difficulty believing this alien. It was seemingly selling something so valuable and rare right here.
       “What’s the catch?” I asked.
       “There is no catch,” the giant purple squid alien said.
       I looked into the alien’s eyes, trying to tell whether it was lying or not.
       “I can’t tell them that this thing is cursed and I’m trying to get rid of it the best that I can,” I heard the giant purple squid alien say.
       “What was that?” I asked, making sure I heard correctly.
       “What was what? I didn’t say anything since ‘there is no catch’,” the giant purple squid alien said.
       I looked at the alien with a quizzical look, wondering if I was just hearing things.
       “I’ll take it,” I said, pulling out my wallet and started to pull out some money as Joseph and TyRant left to look around. “How much is it?”
       “Oh, human currency isn’t accepted at this trade station. Only the universally used currency called ‘credits’ are accepted here,” the giant purple squid alien said.
       “Don’t worry, I’ll pay for it,” a feminine voice said.
       I looked to see someone dressed in a large cloak and hood standing next to me. I could only see the person’s feet, hands, tail, and part of their face. The person appeared female partially by the face, which was mostly covered, and their hands and feet seemed feminine and feline at the same time. Her hands, feet, and tail were covered in fur that was brown, black, and white in little random patches.  Her hands also appeared very humanoid except for the fur. If not for the feminine looking hands, feet, part of the face and feminine voice, it would be difficult to tell whether this person was male or female with the cloak and hood. I guessed this creature was a Catkerion from the feline and human mix that I remember becoming when on Ultima, but I wasn’t sure, so I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions.
       The cat-like creature pulled out a small hand-held device and pressed a button on it, as the giant purple squid alien, holding a very similar device looked at it’s own.
       “This is plenty of enough credits. It is a pleasure doing business with you,” the giant purple squid alien said.
       The cat-like creature then handed me the hand-held device she was holding and the Infinicomm she just paid for.
       “Are you giving me this?” I asked the mysterious and seemingly generous cat-like creature.
       “Yes, you need it more than I do, and that hand-held device by the way, is call a ‘credit device’ be sure to remember that,” the cat-like creature said.
       “Well, thanks, I don’t know how I can ever repay you,” I said. “May I ask your name?”
       “You are welcome, but I must keep my identity a secret for now,” the cat-like creature said, disappearing into a crowd of different alien that happened to walk by.
       I put the Infinicomm on around my left wrist and put the credit device in my right jacket pocket. I then began looking for Joseph and TyRant since I had lost sight of them. I walked around the entire floor that I was on, but found neither of the two. I walked to the lift and went up to the next deck, or floor, and started to walked around. Then I spotted someone who looked like Joseph in the distance and began running towards them.

       I was looking around at the good the different traders were selling, looking for materials that Akira needed for finishing the Dimensional Cannon.
       “Can I help you?” a trader that looked like a boar standing on its hind legs asked me.
       “No, I’m looking for something in particular,” I said.
       “Well, if you need any help, just ask,” the boar-like alien said.
       “Joseph!” I heard a voice call out to me.
       I looked in the direction the voice had come from and saw Akira running towards me.
       “So what are you doing?” Akira asked as soon as he was near me.
       “I’m looking for materials for the Dimensional Cannon you’re making,” I said.
       Just as some nearby traders heard me say ‘Dimensional Cannon’ out loud they quickly closed up their shops and hid inside.
       “What’s up with them?” Akira asked.
       “I don’t know, except that I believe it has something to do with my mentioning the Dimensional Cannon,” I said. “Anyway, what is that there on your wrist? Is that the Infinicomm thing that you were looking at back there?”
       “Yeah, a mysterious cat-like female paid for it and gave me this thing she said is called a ‘credit device’ but then left afterwards,” Akira said, while pulling a flat, hand-held device out of his right jacket pocket. “This is it.”
       “That was very generous of her,” I said. “ Did you get her name by any chance?”
       “No, she just left when I tried asking her, mentioning something about keeping her identity a secret for the moment,” Akira said, putting the device back into the pocket he pulled it out of.
       “Well, let’s find TyRant, maybe he found anything,” I suggested.
       “We need to find those materials, that’s for sure,” Akira said, lowering his voice so no one else over heard. “And this Infinicomm can help us find them.”
       Akira lifted his right wrist up to examine the Infinicomm closely, then pressed a button on each side with his index finger and thumb. A small hologram projected above the screen on the Infinicomm, which appeared to be a map of the trade station. On the map it showed two heat signatures close to each other, as little red dots.
       “I’ll assume that is us,” Akira said, referring to the two red dots side by side.
       “Who or what is this?” I asked, pointing to a small white dot not far from the two red dots.
       “I had the Infinicomm search the trade station for the strongest metal alloy, a large capacity disk, a concentrated power source, and a large prism-like crystal. It must be one of those four materials,” Akira said. “So let’s check it out.”
       We walked over to where the map indicated and to a shop that wasn’t closed. He stepped inside and began looking around. This trader was a half-human woman and half-bird creature called a Harpy. I continued to look around at the different stuff the Harpy was selling until I found something that looked like it could be used as a large capacity disk.
       “Akira, I think I found something,” I said, grabbing the thing and handing it to Akira.
       “Good eye, I wouldn’t have been able to find it in all this stuff,” Akira said, walking towards the Harpy trader at the counter. “I would like to buy this.”
       Akira pulled out his credit device and stood there for a moment and the Harpy trader scanned the disk to check the price.
       “That will be one thousand sixty-three credits,” the Harpy trader said.
       Akira typed on the small device for a moment and then pressed a button. I assumed he was typing out the amount of credits and then sending it to the Harpy’s credit device. The Akira put the credit device back into his jacket pocket.
       “Thank you and have a nice day,” the Harpy trader said as we left the store.
       Once we were out of the store I noticed a surprised expression on Akira’s face, as he put the high capacity data disk into his right jacket pocket.
       “What’s up?” I asked.
       “As I paid her, I noticed that this credit device has an unlimited amount of credits,“ Akira said, pulling the device out once again and handing it to me to take a look at it myself.
       “How is this possible?” I thought to myself, as I saw that was Akira said was right.
       Beside the little credit symbol was the infinity symbol, apparently signifying that it held an infinite amount of credits. Then Akira checked the holographic map on his Infinicomm, looking for the other materials he needed. I handed Akira the credit device back, and he took it with one hand, putting it back into his pocket while keeping his eyes on the holographic map.
       “There! Two decks down is two more materials we need,” Akira said, having the holographic map disappear for now. “I also found TyRant five decks up above us.”
       “Let’s get TyRant first, then we can get the materials,” I said.
       “Yes, good idea,” Akira said.
       We then walked all the way to the lift and rode it up five decks. Once the lift stopped and the doors opened, Akira stepped out and began walking ahead of me as I followed. Akira kept a few steps ahead of me as we walked around this deck looking for TyRant. I then spotted TyRant in the distance with his back facing us. As we got closer to TyRant I noticed that a Succubus had her hands all over him and he had her tongue in his mouth. A Succubus is a human-like female creature with large bat-like wing growing out of their back, and at other times they have been known to have other bat-like features.
       “Hey TyRant,” I said quickly, surprising TyRant and the Succubus so much that they jumped.
       The Succubus pulled her tongue out of TyRant’s mouth and turned to face away from me and Akira. Then after a brief moment she walked away as TyRant stood there with a strange look on his face. TyRant stood there, facing me and Akira, for several minutes as I waited for him to say something.
       “Hey, TyRant,” I said again, waving my right hand in front of his eyes to get a response.
       “I never expected her to kiss me,” TyRant said finally.
       “You mean the Succubus?” I asked.
       “Yep,” TyRant said.
       “What is a Succubus?” Akira asked.
       “The creature that was kissing TyRant just earlier is called a Succubus,” I said.
       “Oh,” Akira said.
       “Anyway, let’s gt back to searching for those materials needed for the Dim- ” TyRant started.
       “Don’t say it out loud,” I interrupted.
       “Why not?” TyRant asked.
       “It seems to scare the traders away,” I said.
       “Two more materials we need are now seven decks below us,” Akira said.
       “We already found a large capacity data disk,” I told TyRant. “Which leaves three more materials that we need.”
       “I had almost forgotten,” Akira said.
       “What did you almost forget?” I asked, with a puzzled look on my face.
       “The fact that the Infinicomm can store items in the form of data,” Akira said, while pulling the large capacity data disk out of his right jacket pocket.
       “Are you going to store the data disk?” TyRant asked.
       “Yes, I just have to actually figure out how to store it,” Akira said.
       Akira pressed the buttons on his Infinicomm in no particular order and stared at the screen, which TyRant and I couldn’t see what he was looking at on the screen.
       “Ah, now I know how to store items,” Akira said, while placing the data disk on a nearby table.
       Then Akira pressed a button on his Infinicomm and a beam shot out of it and touched the data disk. Suddenly the data disk seemed to disintegrate into the beam and the beam disappeared, so did the data disk that was on the table.
       “There now it is stored in my Infinicomm,” Akira said. “Thankfully there is an instruction, or help, program on this, otherwise I wouldn’t have known how to store things.”
       “Well, let’s go below seven decks and get two more materials,” I said.

       I felt a little weird being in this small group where I was the only one that wasn’t human. I know I had to get over it since they are friends of King Akira, and I am his loyal knight and servant.
       “Alright group, we should change into Antans to disguise ourselves,” Taichi, the leader of our small group said.
       “I don’t know how to change,” Nene said.
       “All you have to do if think of the name of the person or creature you want to change into while picturing that same person or creature in your head,” Jackie said. “I remember that much clearly.”
       I saw the others do as Jackie explained, and I decided to follow their example. I closed my eyes, picturing an Antan like Ryvjha and thinking the name ‘Antan’ in my head. When I reopened my eyes I saw that I had become an Antan, along with the other seven.
       “Let’s get going then,” Taichi said, using his Antan mouth.
       We followed Taichi down the tunnel and as we walked I noticed the other stumble on their four legs as I on the other hand, was used to having four legs since I am an Ultimarian naturally. After the others finally got used to walking with four legs we continued to walk down the tunnel. At the other end of the tunnel we saw some Antans digging new tunnels.
       “Are you eight the new diggers we sent for?” an Antan in a hard hat, with its antenna sticking out of two holes in the hard hat, asked as she walked up to us.
       “No, we are actually friends of Princess Ryvjha,” Jackie said.
       “You mean Queen Ryvjha, she has been queen for a hundred years now,” the Antan in the hard hat said.
       “Oh, yeah, I forgot she said she was a queen now,” Jackie said.
       “She did? I never heard her tell us,” Nene said.
       “Anyway, you must be the Destined. I deeply apologize for asking if you were the new diggers we sent for,” the Antan in the hard hat said.
       “No problem, it was a simple mistake,” Daniel said.
       “Let me make it up to our saviors by showing you around,” the Antan in the hard hat said.
       “That would be nice, thank you,” Toni said.
       “Follow me then,” the Antan in the hard hat said.
       We then followed the Antan in the hard hat down one of the tunnels which we had not gone though yet.
